Indigenous People's Weekend (IPW) is a public heath event featuring a basketball, art & public health expo. This year is the fifth annual event. IPW is an acknowledgement & preceding event to Indigenous People’s Day. These days are reclaimed as means to expel Indigenous erasure on our homelands, celebrate Indigenous Peoples’ & the fact that we are still here. Public health activities are a big part of this weekend as a means to battle our own health disparities & build a community centering our own health & wellness lifestyles. New activities included this year include partnering with the Native American Food Truck Festival & the IPW 5k! Please see details below for the IPW 5k & register to enter the raffle for that day.
