27th Annual Cherish the Children Powwow Beaded Wallet Workshop with Brook
Join us for the 27th Annual Cherish the Children Powwow hosted by Ain Dah Yung Center (ADYC), meaning "Our Home" in Ojibwe. ADYC provides a healing place within the community for American Indian youth and families to thrive in safety and wholeness. This year’s Powwow will be hosted at Brook’s alma mater, St. Paul Johnson Senior High School (1345 Arcade St, St Paul, MN 55106) on February 21-22, 2026.
Brook will be sharing wrap style beadwork to adorn beautiful designed Native Northwest wallets with anyone who wants to learn & take home their own creation to keep or gift! Native Northwest builds everyday connections to Indigenous cultures. 100% of the art featured on Native Northwest products is designed by Indigenous artists & they share how they engage in respect & autheticity on their website: About Us - Celebrating 40 Years | Native Northwest
Workshop includes:
Native Northwest Wallet of your choice (7 options available)
Thread, needle, bead colors of your choice
Support learning wrap style beadwork
Workshop Hours (approximately 2-3 hours needed for completion)
11am-1pm & 5-7pm Saturday February 21st
11am-1pm on Sunday February 22nd
This workshop is limited to 15 paid participants & up to 5 scholarship participants. Please email niniijaanis@gmail.com to request a scholarship PIROR to the event. NO REFUNDS but if you cannot make the weekend workshop, you can use the credit for a future beaded wallet workshop.
